April 27-30 Rougeux Motorsports Update
Del Rougeux Jr. and the Rougeux Motorsports Team started off the weekend at the Lernerville Speedway with solid second place heat race finish and a fourth place feature finish however, fate intervened and the remainder of the weekend was very trying for the team as Mother Nature, and Bad Luck sidelined them on Saturday and Sunday. “The 20D Bicknell Chassis was definitely fast,” stated Del, “however we had a bar settle a few laps into the feature event and that limited our forward progress Friday night. The Rougeux Motorsports Team had really hoped for a win to celebrate JMS ProPhoto coming on board as sponsor earlier in the evening. We are looking forward to working with Joe Secka and Mike Gbur of JMS ProPhoto in a new capacity in 2007!”

Mother Nature was kind enough to keep the rains away until after the racing action at Lernerville had been completed however persistent showers throughout Saturday morning and afternoon forced the cancellation of racing action at the Sharon Speedway.

On Sunday, the Rougeux Motorsports Team was off to the Tri-City Speedway for the speedway’s 2007 season opener. Del pulled a rather dismal number 40 pill, which relegated him to a fourth row starting position in heat race action. He was able to finish a respectable fifth in heat race action and the crew made several changes to the car to get it “dialed in” for the 20-lap feature event. The “Opening Night Bad Luck Demon” once again reared his ugly head as Del was only able to complete one lap before mechanical problems sidelined the 20D Bicknell Chassis for the evening; definitely a rather inauspicious start to the 2007 season at the Tri-City Speedway.

Del Jr. and Del Sr. are now hard at work changing motors and doing routine maintenance as the team prepares for another action packed racing weekend. The Lernerville, Sharon and Tri-City Speedways are once again on the schedule for the Rougeux Motorsports Team. You can keep abreast of the team’s latest news and results at www.delrougeux.com.
