We had expectations of starting the 2009 season off this weekend at Hagerstown Speedway, in Hagerstown, MD. With a forecast of cold air moving into the area and rain/snow expected, they decided to cancel Friday afternoon. It was actually a great help to me, I’m fighting the flu right now, and driving 35 laps would have been a chore. I will continue drinking my orange juice, taking vitamins and be prepared to race again at Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday, March 7th. The race will be broadcast live on The Dirt Track Channel, the link is http://thedirttrackchannel.com/Webcast.html.
Check out the Schedule section of the website often, I’m updating it as my track schedules are released. As soon as I have all the schedules compiled, I will be sending out a finalized season schedule.
Other news form the race team is we have new apparel being designed by Classic Impressions, and hats available for $12, will have link on website soon for these items. Last year’s merchandise prices are now slashed to $10 for t-shirts and $12 for sweatshirts.
Hopefully next week’s update will have some race results from Hagerstown as long as Mother Nature works with us.
