The weekend started out at Lernerville Speedway on Friday July 24th, we had a MSD ignition box fail in the heat race, we changed the box and prepped the car for the feature event. We had to start the feature in last place due to not finishing the heat race. After 9 laps of the feature I had wheeled the car into 2nd place, on a restart on lap 10 I took over the lead, the car was working so perfectly. I could work all grooves on the race track, and we were turning laps .35 seconds a lap faster than the 2nd place car. I had worked into lap traffic as I was lapping the slower cars, one car spun out on the top groove of the track, and the car in front of me spiked the brakes and spun in front of me, I tried to avoid contact but he slammed into the right side of our car. The impact had crushed the whole right side, and broke the spring rod which connects the rear end to the chassis; in turn I went pit side and was unable to finish the event. Saturday morning we made all the repairs and were headed to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for a BRP Tour event. Just as we crossed into WV I received a call, the races had been cancelled due to rain. Sunday we headed up route 8 to Tri City Speedway, we haven’t had a bit of luck lately so I figured we had to keep trying until we break this bad luck streak. We started 8th and finished 6th in our heat, car was good, just was trying to work the top of the track, it was very rough through the bottom and middle, by the end of the heat I had some ideas what we needed for the feature. We made our changes and started out in the 10th position in the feature event. The race went straight through with no cautions, by lap 20 I had wheeled the car into 2nd place, I was very pleased with that, I would preferred to win, but with our luck lately a 2nd made everyone smile. The car has been working great; I have to give credit to everyone involved. Randy Williamson from Bicknell Racing products has been helping me with getting the car comfortable. Everyone at Kriner Racing Engines has offered any help that I need. I have a superb group of people, sponsors and crew surrounding me, and appreciate everything everyone brings to our team. Hope to see you at a track soon. Later, Del
