Friday night started our holiday weekend of racing; we were at Tri City speedway for a BRP Tour event. After winning our heat race from the 5th starting position, we redrew a number 11 for the main event starting spot. After several laps I had worked my way forward into 7th, on the 8th lap I was bumped and turned sideways, and another car drove over the front of our car. Light damage was done luckily, and I was able to continue and start at the rear of the field. I worked all the grooves of the track to find quicker lines and any available bite in the racing surface. At the end of the 40 lap feature I had worked my way back into 5th position.
Saturday after repairs and maintenance we were headed to Pittsburgh area to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. After finishing 3rd from a 7th starting position it was off to pull another “lucky” number for the feature starting position. This time it was number 8, as the race started the car felt pretty good, we slowly worked our way into 3rd position. It was a good battle for the top 4 spots throughout the last 7 laps of the race, my car was fading toward the last laps and we ended up finishing 3rd.
This week we head to Lernerville Speedway Friday night for another BRP Tour event combined with The Super Dirtcar series from New York. This should be an exciting event for the fans. Saturday night we are heading to Mercer Raceway Park for a Saturday night special.
