The weather man was calling for a 60% chance of rain, but as we entered Sharon Speedway the skies didn’t look to threatening. We rolled the car out and got ready for a night of racing in Hartford, OH. I started in the 6th position of our heat but was only able to progress 2 spots and finish in 4th. As I left the track, my mind was thinking of what changes I should make, the car was not the way I wanted it to pound out 20 hard laps of the fast Sharon Speedway surface. I entered my pit stall and the guys went work preparing the car for the feature, and I sat and talked with my father about a couple changes I thought would work. After our short brain storming session, I put the guys to work making some “wholesale” changes to the car. We would start in the 5th position, but would not be there long, by lap 4 I was in the lead and on the hammer. The car was absolutely perfect, the car was handling just as I wanted and the Kriner Racing Engine was doing a perfect job. The end of 20 laps found us in victory lane for the first time in 2010. This week we will be competing at Lernerville Speedway on Friday night and Sharon Speedway on Saturday night. Hopefully the weather will work in our favor. Hope to see you all at a track soon. Later, Del
